Today’s Tinsel Tuesday tutorial (how’s that for alliteration?) is a special, DIY gift idea – a Snowman Candle Pedestal. In a clever “hat trick”, a 3” pedestal candle finishes off his top hat. Like Frosty, the top hat really brings him to life and adds personality. For even more personality, tie on a fleece scarf in bright colors or patterns, and then paint the Snowman Candle Pedestal to match. To make a Snowman Candle Pedestal, you’ll need:

  • STYROFOAM™ Brand Foam:
    • 5” Ball
    • 1” x 12” x 10 Block, or other size sheet that’s 1” thick
  • Acrylic craft paint: Off-white, cream, light cream, dark burgundy, orange
  • Air-dry modeling clay*
  • Felt or fleece, 4” x 24” in blue or other color of your choice
